Since the water was shutdown for the building last time (about a month ago), my water temperature has been unstable. While I do the dishes with warm water, the water will suddenly turn into near-boiling water and burn my skin. This seems to be happening every night, ever since.

Has anyone else been impacted by this?

Does this happen when you take a shower? If not, it may be the problem of the faucet.

Good point. It is only the kitchen faucet. I don't know about the other faucets because I don't run the water long enough. But it sure doesn't occur with the shower. I'm not much of a plumber but I have heard there is some sort of regulator that makes sure when there is a draw on cold water elsewhere in the system, it would reduce the amount of hot water. I'll do some more research. Thanks.
